Andrea Peña & Artists è una compagnia con base in Canada che unisce danza e design per creare mondi performativi densi, fisici e poetici. Fondata dalla coreografa bi culturale Andrea Peña, lavora in modo collettivo, mescolando visioni ibride, pensiero critico e corpi in relazione. Le sue creazioni nascono spesso da processi condivisi, tra ricerca concettuale e necessità espressive.
REPLICA è una di queste. Al centro di un paesaggio immersivo, due figure si muovono, si rivelano. In un continuo gioco tra mito e tecnologia, i danzatori attraversano la storia della copia e del corpo, esplorando i modi in cui ci rappresentiamo, ieri e oggi.
La scena diventa un giardino dell'Eden queer dove il corpo mette in discussione ciò che è norma, ciò che è desiderio. REPLICA è danza, ma anche scultura, pittura, installazione. Spetta a chi guarda decidere cosa vedere.
